Ijams, one of Knoxville’s greatest treasures, is centrally located only five minutes from downtown, and is a stunning 300-acre wildlife sanctuary and lush green space. Here you can choose to have your wedding or event at the historic home site, and enjoy the floor to ceiling views of forests, flowers and sky. The beautifully rustic arbors provide a natural framework for the bride and groom and can be decorated to suit your particular style.

Wedding Facilities  – Wedding ceremonies are conducted at the Ijams Home Site where the legacy of the Ijams Family started in 1910. This is the only section of the property specifically designated for wedding day events.

Ijams is available for your Wedding Ceremony and Reception from 9am to 10pm. Rentals include an optional rehearsal time and a choice from the following wedding packages:

• 4- Hour Wedding Package – $1,500
• 6-Hour Wedding Package – $2,000
• 2-Hour Ceremony Only – $500
• Additional Hourly Fee- $ 250

Wedding packages include use of the lawn, covered pavilion, tent pad, terraced gardens and the Miller Building which has one large and one small room and a kitchen. Packages also include day-of event staff. NOTE: Staff are not wedding planners and are on site to answer questions and help with any facility issues. Time Restrictions

Flexible set up start time. Early mornings can be arranged. Events must end by 10:00PM.

Rental Fees

The rental fees start at $1,500 for a ceremony and receptionfor 4 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $250/hr. A refundable security deposit of half the total fee is required. Please note, rental fees include usage of all 6 spaces in venue.

Wedding Cost

The average wedding cost at Ijams Nature Center is estimated at between $4,343 and $6,309 for a ceremony & reception for 100 guests.
