We were thrilled to be part of a very romantic and intimate beach wedding that was recently published on BridalPulse. The ceremony took place in picturesque Topsail Island, North Carolina and was beautifully captured by Asher & Emily Photography!
Staci and her groom, Kevin, adore beach vacations. And, it was after a memorable trip to Folly Beach, SC that the couple began planning their dream wedding. In their minds, their day would take place on the beach, in the sand, and be simple and small. They dreamed of renting an ocean front house where their immediate family could stay with them. Their dreams came true on their wedding day, and it unfolded just as they had envisioned with the spectacular backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean and sunny blue skies surrounding them. And the sand in their toes. #beachweddingenvy
The gorgeous bride, Staci, found her amazing Justin Alexander wedding dress here at The Gilded Gown. This low-key lady wanted something with a “vintage feel” that wasn’t too glitzy. Her selection of this lace overlay fit and flare gown fit the bill and worked seamlessly with her low-fuss, beachy vibe.
Staci customized her gown by making a few minor adjustments.
“It had a flower on the front,” Staci recalled. “I had this changed to a different bridal sash and it ended up looking so much better that way. It was the first time I had ever felt like a princess.”
We love when brides personalize their dresses to fit their wedding vision.
We love that Mom, barefoot like everyone else, escorted Staci down the sandy aisle.
A bamboo arbor draped with white panels, tropical greenery and bridal white flowers by Surf City Florist framed the ocean view to perfection.
The couple’s love for one another is evident in every single shot. Awww… to be young, beautiful and in love!!!
The guests, all close family, surround the couple with love and support. We’re pretty sure they didn’t mind a beach vacay either!
The cake by The Corner Sweet fit the beach theme with yummy sea glass green frosting along with starfish and shell embellishments. The meal, barbeque, was casual and fun, catered by: Surf City BBQ
A question many couples ponder is: “Should We Take That First Look, Or Not?”
For this couple, the answer was “Yes!” Staci and Kevin decided they wanted a special moment together before the wedding. Staci explained. “It made the anxiety of the day next to none and really gave us that personal moment to have ‘real expressions’ of seeing each other for the first time.”
