We were thrilled when we received an email from Hope, a gorgeous Gilded Gown bride, with pictures from her wedding day. She was kind enough to share her sweet mountain wedding story with us. Plus Hope filled us in on the cutest little detail the couple discovered after they started dating. Turns out she and Justin had already met as children and didn’t realize it at first.
She said, “How our relationship started is kind of storybook worthy (in my opinion…lol). We first started talking to each other when we were 20 years old over Facebook because he was a mutual friend of my sister. We thought that was our beginning. After talking for a while, my mother realized that we had known each other long before that. It turns out that his mother used to babysit me when we were both 4 years old. After we found that out, he told me that he had always wondered what had happened to the little girl his mom used to watch!! Long story short, after 7 years of being in a relationship, Justin finally proposed on Christmas of 2018.”
Hope visited The Gilded Gown on her quest to find her dream dress and accessories. She fell in love with an exquisite long-sleeve lace gown which looked amazing on her. (She decided against the sash shown here):
Her stylist helped her find the perfect finishing touches. The gorgeous veil Hope selected is stunning.
Hope had this to say about their wedding day, “The wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect! The date is the anniversary of our first date. We love the colder weather so picking a winter wedding and getting married our anniversary was a no brainer!”
Hope and Justin got married on January 17th, 2020 at the romantic venue Wafloy Mountain Retreat. Nestled in the beauty of our East Tennessee mountains Walfoy provided a breathtaking backdrop for the ceremony and reception. They said their “I Dos,” in the picturesque chapel on the property.
Their family and friends surrounded them with love, light, and laughter.
Hope said, “The men’s tuxes were from Regal Tuxedo. Hair and makeup were done by Taylor Crowder of Glow Salon in Newport, TN. Videography was by Young Videography, most of the photos were by A Life’s Journey Photography. The DJ’s wife also does photography so a couple of the photos I sent have her watermark from Hale Photography.”
Hope was a vision of beauty. She glows with happiness and we think she chose the perfect gown, veil, and accessories from The Gilded Gown.
She was radiant for her special day.
