Gorgeous Gilded Gown Bride Caitlin had a very special vision for her wedding day. Both she and her fiance Stephen love the Walt Disney movie Tangled, so she wanted that fairytale spirit to prevail.
It makes perfect sense because, after all, Disney movies like Tangled are all about love. Haven’t we all seen our favorite Disney characters seek true love’s kiss? Watched them embark on grand adventures for love? And we’ve even seen them learn that love isn’t always as it seems (we see you, Hans). In life, as in Disney movies, true love always triumphs. We are so happy that Caitlin shared her sweet love story with us:

Stephen and I met each other at Lee University. I was working at the cafe at the time. He came through my line and I overheard someone saying his name. Something made me call out his name, too. When he looked at me I convinced him to try our pumpkin spice frozen coffee (it is my favorite).

He came through my line five times the same day to work up the courage to ask me for my number. We kissed for the first time on September 20, 2016. He told me right then and there that he was going to marry me someday.

He proposed to me near a river, with candlelight lining the entrance playing our song from our favorite Disney Movie, Tangled. He got down on one knee and asked me to be forever his a year ago on September 30, 2019. A year later, I walked down this beautiful aisle to say my forever devotions to my dream prince! We truly will have a happy ever after.
The couple said their vows at the Chapel at Lee University. Their photographer/videographer was Verba M Weddings

Caitlin wanted an unexpected dress for her Tangled wedding. We are thrilled she was able to find her dream dress with us at The Gilded Gown.
