Do I need an appointment?
Yes! In order to give you the one-on-one attention you deserve you will be assigned your own personal stylist, fitting room, and runway. Since your stylist will be devoting her time to helping you find your dream dress, we do require appointments. You can book an appointment online here. And, we are always here to help you over the phone, as well. Just give us a call at 865-329-4905.
What should I bring with me?
You don’t need to bring anything special. But you are welcome to bring your wedding shoes if you have them, or anything you might be planning to wear on your wedding day. If you have a veil from your mom, or a special piece of jewelry that must be a part of your big day – bring that along too! Neutral undergarments are a great idea. All of our gowns are fully lined with built-in bra cups.
Who should I bring with me?
Currently, appointments are limited to the bride plus five guests. But if you have a bigger crew we have an awesome option. If you’d like to bring up to ten guests, we invite you to reserve our VIP suite for $99. We recommend bringing your favorite people who will support you in your dress search!
What size gowns do you have in store?
Our wedding gowns range from size 000-size 32, and we can custom order many styles up to a size 42. We carry an abundance of styles in each size, too. We have more than 2,500 gorgeous gowns in the store.
What is your price range?
The stunning selection of bridal gowns at The Gilded Gown range in price from $499 –$3000. (Our average dress costs between $800-$1200). And, we always have an amazing selection of sale dresses too.
Do you offer any payment plans?
We offer a convenient four-month layaway plan. The formula: Add the price of your dress + $99 Layaway Fee + Tax and Divide the total by four. You’ll make four equal payments. Your first payment is due the day you find your dream dress & accessories. Then you make an equal payment once a month for the next three months.
How far in advance do I need to buy my gown?
With us you can take your gown home the same day! No wait, no worries. Our gowns are all available to purchase right off the rack.
Will I need alterations?
Yes! Wedding dress designs are based on a standard size chart. Most gowns will need at least some alterations to make them fit you perfectly. We do not provide in-house alterations, but we are happy to recommend excellent alterations specialists in the Knoxville area.
What is a trunk show?
Trunk shows are an opportunity for brides to see more of a designer’s wedding dress collection than what is already available at The Gilded Gown – often the entire current collection is available to try on and purchase at special prices! Trunk shows are only in the store for one or two weekends, and they book up quickly – so if you see one coming you don’t want to miss, snag your appointment!
Do you sell bridesmaids’ dresses?
We don’t sell bridesmaids, but we do sell prom, pageant, and formal gowns. Sometimes our brides find dresses within that selection that work for their maids. If you are looking for all matching styles in a certain color we recommend Bella Bridesmaids.
Do you carry mother-of-the-bride & groom gowns?
Yes, we have a curated collection of looks perfect for Moms, also available to take home the same day!
Do you offer refunds or exchanges on purchases?
All gowns, veils, sashes, and headpieces are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged. Therefore, we take the time to ensure you are satisfied with your gown and accessories before you leave the boutique with them – we want the very happiest brides!
